This place was so cool! I am posting a very late review from back in February so this may no longer be on the menu, but I had the osmanthus oolong cold brew with a salted sweet cream cold foam. Was excited to try this because we have osmanthus flowers that bloom near this time all over Atlanta in spring and fall, and they are one of my favorite smells. I loved talking to the owner about all the recipes she’s developed to bring china’s coffee culture to Atlanta! Super cool place, definitely worth coming back to to check out all the creative flavors. I’m excited for them to do well and thrive!

Such a unique and thoughtfully designed space with delicious, creative drinks! The staff were especially warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I personally recommend the melon cocktail, it was so refreshing and easily one of my favorites. 🍈🍸 The truffle fries were also amazing and paired perfectly with the drinks. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their cocktail selection! ✨💅

Day coffee, night cocktails. ☕️🍸 Checked out the new cocktail menu at Common Coffee & Cocktails in Doraville, and the Asian-inspired concepts definitely caught my attention — Liquid Pineapple Bun, Coconut Chicken Soup, Tom Yum Soup, Winter Melon Punch, and more. Some worked better than others, but I really like how playful and experimental the menu is. My Top 3: 🥇 Pepper Smash — Easily my favorite. Bold, savory, and reminded me a little of the style you’d find at COA in Hong Kong. 🥈 Winter Melon Punch — Super easy to drink with barely any alcohol burn. It honestly tastes almost like winter melon tea. 😂 🥉 Limoncello Sidecar — Smooth, balanced, and surprisingly good. A few other standouts: Tom Yum Soup actually carries some of that familiar savory-spicy character, while Tomatini is a fun option if you’re into savory cocktails. The Liquid Pineapple Bun was tasty too, although it reminded me more of a Piña Colada than an actual pineapple bun. And don’t skip the Jasmine Tea Pudding 🌿 — fragrant, not overly sweet, and probably my favorite non-cocktail item of the night. Creative drinks, Asian influences, and a space that transitions perfectly from coffee shop to cocktail bar. D

Looking back, I’ve probably tried over ten different drinks here, and somehow, not a single one has disappointed me. Every drink feels intentional, never ordinary, always unique and you can tell there’s real thought behind every flavor combination. What keeps me coming back, though, is more than just the coffee. Almost every time I visit, there’s something new on the menu. And honestly, creating a new drink isn’t easy. From developing the recipe and refining the flavors to thinking about the presentation and introducing it to customers, every launch takes an incredible amount of time and effort. Seeing them consistently come up with new creations is genuinely inspiring. It never feels like they’re chasing trends, it feels like they’re simply passionate about what they do. As a customer, you can truly feel that passion and creativity in every cup. Their dedication to constantly experimenting and creating something new is what makes this place so special to me. I also heard they’re launching a cocktail menu soon, and I honestly can’t wait. I’ll definitely be one of the first people there to try it, and I’ll be sharing my thoughts as soon as I do.

TL;DR - Common Coffee & Cocktail is a cozy, relaxed spot with a great atmosphere, whether you’re working on your laptop or catching up with friends. I enjoyed the vibe, and the music wasn’t too loud, but the toasted rice latte felt a little pricey for what it was. Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars. For drinks, we ordered the toasted rice latte. It had a light foam on top and wasn’t too sweet, which I liked. The size felt about 10 oz, and while the flavor was pleasant, I didn’t think it was quite worth the price. The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights. There were lots of people working on their computers and also plenty of people socializing, so it has a nice balance between coffee shop productivity and casual hangout energy. The music was not overwhelming, which made it easy to relax or have a conversation. That said, it can get pretty busy on the weekend. Service was convenient and low-pressure. They have a kiosk where you can place your order if you prefer, which makes the process easy and quick. For miscellaneous notes, they also have a small merchandise section, which was a nice touch. Parking was easy, too, with plenty of spots available outside.
